Control of a Photovoltaic Pumping System Using the ABC Algorithm in EL Jadida Climate

In this paper, we propose a photovoltaic pumping system in the meteorological conditions of city EL JADIDA located Morocco. Our is composed generator, step-up converter (DC/DC) controlled by Maximum power point tracking (MPPT), an inverter (DC/AC), motor-pump group (asynchronous motor, centrifugal pump). The amount energy produced PV systems depends on environmental circumstances such as temperature and solar irradiance, objective our to ensure operation at maximum for various climatic JADIDA, Artificial Bee method Colony (ABC) was implemented compared two other MPPT Perturbation Observation (P&O) Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) method, evaluate best most accurate controller different weather conditions. results show that use ABC effective has excellent performance terms response time (3.5 H), can increase stability system, thanks algorithm, water flow 82.35% P&O 50% FLC have very low insolation d values (25.55 W/m2) method. simulations parts are developed Matlab/Simulink environment.
